Fighting The Regime

Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal in Philadelphia (Reddit).

Attacking Minnesota instead of Texas is about provocation to invoke the insurrection act to suppress voter turnout or to cancel elections.

Somehow this video interested me, of a veteran insulting ICE on Reddit.

Blocking ICE in Vermont (Reddit).

Protesters in NYC at the hotel ICE is staying at on Reddit. 50 people were arrested.

Civil War

Donald Trump is at war with prosperity, functioning government, the rule of law, and cities. He's putting US troops into cities in his own country. Unconstitutional, suspension of due process, kidnapping. He’s going to provoke a revolution. America doesn’t love fascism.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth: "ICE are raging through the streets of Chicago trying to intimidate everyday ordinary citizens trying to go to school and work. That's not what America is about. It's shameful that the president has instigated this." (Source).

Pritzker keeps saying that the mobilized from Texas National Guard who have invaded Chicago are not welcome.

Republicans are all about states rights until they go against the vibes they're laying down.

Political notes for September

My father expressed the fears he's the only democrat in Florida, and I looked it up. 4.3m democrats, 5m republicans, only 55.55% republican. Hardly overwhelming to me.

He said we don't have access to the AI that knows a lot, that's writing code. I said if we don't know about it, we can't talk about it. He thought we could. I said, "Are you a republican now?" He laughed at that.

History repeats itself, but we're in a new information age, which strangely has made us dumber with the growing pains.

Herbert Hoover was the dumb conservative who made the great depression worse. FDR took us out of it. Biden was too early and too old to take us out of the recession we're in because of Trump, who is only good at wrecking things. Making the USA more independent doesn't work, it's a globe now, and you have to understand the times, not go back to some unrealistic and never happened fantasy of how things were. Great leaders understand the fantasy and lead us out of it's unrealisticness.

There's never going to be a president that the left and right like, because political bias is just an aspect of our personality. Either you want to starve children or you want to feed children. Either you're overcome and transcended your childhood trauma and you're not afraid of empathy, or you think because it happened to you, go crueler.

The supreme court rules you can use race stopping people but you can't in college admissions. What we've lost is integrity. America has regressed. That and shame. In Buddhism apatrapya is shame, for the good.

Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching (C. S. Lewis) and the current regime doesn't even care that people are watching.

4th of July

I had a group of friends, and they emailed regularly. The rise of Trump killed the group. They argued and quit the group.

There's a guy who lives above me, works at a grocery store, who's a libertarian, doesn't want government. He thought Obama was as corrupt as anyone else.

Night doorman across the street agrees with him. Denies the obvious difference in corruption.

Retired bus driver across the street thought Trump was being persecuted legally with frivolous cases.

Jewish fellow in the park didn't think 700k people died from Trump's inaction around Covid. "Maybe".

Albanian woman in the park said, "you have the right to guns, right?"

Cote d'Ivoire woman thought the protests in Portland meant the January 6th insurrection was just a protest. She moved to Hungary with her mixed race children. They recently protested Orban saying don't celebrate pride with a massive turnout. The current regime likes Orban.

Italian-American woman neighbor, who thought vaccines were bad, moved to Texas.

Irish-American woman who converted to Judaism moved to Idaho. She loved Trump.

Polish woman in the park said to forget Musk's two sieg heils.

Senate passed the apocalypse bill, that's going to wreak havoc on America. Now only the House stands in front of it.

Trump is talking about exporting people he doesn't like from the country. Doesn't matter if they're citizens or if they were even born here, or fought for the country.

We're truly looking at a horrible society of nightmares.

HCR: "Just after noon today, the Senate passed its version of the budget reconciliation bill. All Democrats and Independents voted no. Three Republicans—Susan Collins of Maine, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina—joined the Democrats in voting no. That left the bill at 50–50. Vice President J.D. Vance cast the deciding vote, pushing the measure through the Senate and sending it back to the House to vote on the changes made by the Senate. From the reporters’ gallery above the floor, CNN’s Sarah Ferris heard Senator Angus King (I-ME) yell to his Republican colleagues: “Shame on you guys. That was the most disgusting vote I’ve ever seen in my life.” The measure cuts taxes for the wealthy and corporations and offsets those cuts in part by slashing Medicaid and food security programs for low-income Americans."

USA 1776-2025 RIP. I'm a third in denial, third minimizing and a third really really really angry. Only anti-social nihilists can applaud these moves. Call your Representatives, that's our only last hope. Protest on Saturday. Lots of people's dying words will be, "I blame Trump." Repetition compulsion, he's provoking another great depression. Hard times ahead, more violence.

USA bombs Iran

If there was some mechanism for holding leaders accountable for murder, I would love that.

The current regime has done many harmful things, I could see this coming, with the tacit support of jingoistic New York Times. It's been quite a disillusioning time for this old fellow.

I'm not going to link the Times which seems to think amplifying Taco Bone Spurs lies is valid journalism.

It turns out the top positions are based on the honor code, and presidents can find things optional

Like taking 400 billion dollar planes from Qatar. It thought that stuff was outlawed, but it turns out it was just a norm. Nobody is interested in enforcing any of the rule, I thought we had.

I thought he got away with emoluments the last presidency, this term is just off the charts in comparison.

I figured out why American "Christians" are against taxation, even though it purports to save and help the same people Jesus would want helped. Because they only want to help Christians and they want credit for it, they're into the get something for the "charity".

It's actually a personality thing, are you greedy and selfish, or are you open hearted and want to try and level the playing field some. Not clipping the wings of the great, but not let the super rich keep all their dough because they bought the policy that they hardly are taxed at all. Now greedy selfish people tend to create more build systems (of exploitation). I think the south had a problem with slavery because when it's hot out, the first thing that comes to my mind is, what's the least amount I can get away with? That tends to support the desire to exploit others. They complain that government is rigged, but they're the ones avoiding taxes, and exploiting the system.

What's the solution to a president erasing the constitution? The people on the left saw the signs but nobody else saw them.

There needs to be stronger mechanisms to remove him. Like I get it that right wing people are OK with it, but there are quite a lot of right wing people who are against autocracy, white supremacy, ignoring court orders, suspension of due process, sending people to random countries.

People say education, or better media. I mean, yea that would be great, but they didn't happen in this case.

I've studied Hitler and Germany on my own. I feel like in every show Nazis were the bad guys, and somehow we've drifted into this after even blanket media condemnation about Nazis in Germany. What kind of mental gymnastics do you have to go through to imagine this isn't a horrible threat to democracy?

Education

One of the problems in America is that educational districts are political entities within themselves, and create savage inequalities. The federal education department has grants and such to try and equalize things. If your goal is to increase the class differences, you get rid of the federal government department of education. If you're against the education that usually slants people leftward, you get rid of the department of education.

Of all the dastardly things Trump is doing, this might be in the top ten, but there's lots of competition. Tanking the economy with trade wars, and mass governmental layoffs, to reduce taxes to the rich is pretty terrible. Another act that is designed to increase income disparity.

It's murderous to cut all these program to the poor and tank the economy.

Education is the hope that we have that people would avoid choosing such a person for president. He sees synergy and wants to destroy it. Disrupting, chaos, it might not all be bad, but it feels bad to me. The department that is doing many of these cuts is so inefficient, corrupt and inept that they regularly make outlandish lies.

The cultured ideals of liberalism are being demolished. The idea that we can help each other is being demolished. It's quite upsetting.

Lying is the only way any of this gets done.

A doorman who lives in my coop says he doesn't see any difference between Trump and Biden. He's the second guy to say that to me. I want to yell at him, he is the problem. But it's larger than that.

I see a huge difference.

There was a woman in the park who told me to ignore the seig heil. She feels the country is going in the right direction. She's a homeschooling catholic from Poland.

The Coup

I thought it was dramatic to call it a coup, but I see it now. Musk is circumventing too many rules. Check out HCR's letter to America:

"...the Republicans control both chambers of Congress: the House of Representatives and the Senate. They also control the White House and the Supreme Court. If they wanted to get rid of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), for example, they could introduce a bill, debate it, pass it, and send it on to President Trump for his signature. And there would be very little the Democrats could do to stop that change. But they are not doing that."

"Instead, they are permitting unelected billionaire Elon Musk, whose investment of $290 million in Trump and other Republican candidates in the 2024 election apparently has bought him freedom to run the government, to override Congress and enact whatever his own policies are by rooting around in government agencies and cancelling those programs that he, personally, dislikes."

"The replacement of our constitutional system of government with the whims of an unelected private citizen is a coup. The U.S. president has no authority to cut programs created and funded by Congress, and a private citizen tapped by a president has even less standing to try anything so radical."

"...permitting a private citizen to override the will of our representatives in Congress destroys the U.S. Constitution. It also makes Congress itself superfluous. And it takes the minority rule Republicans have come to embrace to the logical end of putting government power in the hands of one man."

Nation headline: Who Will Stop Elon Musk’s Coup?

Never forget he did the Nazi salute 2 times recently.

"“What is happening now is predictable,” Die Zeit said in its editorial. “Neo-Nazis and right-wing radicals can interpret the stretched right arm as a gesture of fraternization and empowerment.” NYT

The selling price for American government is 280 million, seems cheap. Wasn't even into Trump's pocket, it was just on his campaign.

Selling fear of chaos, president creates chaos. America have never been in more danger than in this moment.

Many news outlets are calling it a hack. It's a coup. (example,

Guardian: Progressive Democrats accuse Trump and Musk of ‘a plutocratic coup’

I am very angry! Worst threat to American democracy in my lifetime. Today I am calling my legislative representatives, Schumer (202) 224-6542, Gillibrand (202) 224-4451 and Meng (202) 225-2601, to protest the coup. Websites aren't working but I figured it out with non-governmental websites.

All I can say is anytime a conservative starts to talk about security of state secrets, I'm going to ask them if they spoke out about Trump's boxes in his bathroom, and Musk accessing social security numbers even though he was not vetted. They keep crossing off items of their agenda through lack of integrity.

Nation: Signs of a New Anti-Trump Opposition Amid Elon Musk’s Coup

Heather Cox Richardson YouTube. She points out the Coup was after 5PM on Friday, avoiding the media coverage. She says people keep their pensions when they resign instead of being fired, that's why people are resigning instead of fighting things more. Musk's philosophy is break everything and then if it was really necessary, they can add it back. He says he's doing things, never really sure if they're really doing things. She says the Republicans in congress can stop this, but not for much longer. Democrats are screaming from the rooftops. Republicans stopped Nixon. Will they stop this time? Stepping past the congress and courts sets up a dictatorship. There's a blizzard of lawsuits. Normally when people are breaking the law, they try to stay within the law, it's harder to understand how to attack back when people completely disregard the law. People don't know how to respond. How do we proceed? This GOP isn't popular, and since then they stay in power by suppressing the vote, gerrymandering, and overspending from corporations, the media follows. That Trump can't really talk isn't being covered the way Biden limped after he broke his foot. We got to the place we are now because Republicans control president, legislature, and supreme court. They don't even have the notes in congress, so they're not going to do it with legislature. They're not acting to stop him. Without laws, we're in authoritarianism.

They want to get rid of federal education. That would get rid of money for disabilities and poor schools. Nursing homes. If you shut down a nursing home, it's really bad news for the people who live there, the people who work there. It's the ultimate destruction of the liberal consensus to use tax dollars to create a structure, a safety net. That's not going to turn out well for America. This isn't a private company like Twitter, this is a country. There's going to be some real problems. The hardships are going to be extraordinary, and it takes down the whole system. They want to destroy everything and helpless, and divided. They'll sell the parts. You voted to take the car to the mechanic, and you come back and it's been stripped and sold, they kept the money and we should thank them for it.

What to do: Musk is not elected. He threatens to fund opponents in the legislature, and he doesn't need them any more by side stepping them. The republicans need to wake up. 332 million Americans against one. The question isn't whether you're left or right, the question is how do we stop this? Gizmocrats. They can stop any payments they want to from the government. Why would you trust them? It's chaos.

How did America mobilize the people in their own interest without the constitution (which they're sidestepping). Government needs popular buy in. He keeps saying he had a landslide, had a huge inauguration and sidestepped that last time. In this moment our voice needs to be heard.

The switchboards went down in Washington yesterday, so many people were calling.

The democrats are doing the best they can but they're not in power. People yell at the democrats, even Heather Cox Richardson doesn't do anything. Yell at the arsonists setting things on fire, not the firemen.

You can even go to your bank and ask how you're protecting their information, the treasury has been breached.

No violence, that always changes the narrative.

Putting money into programs that undercut ISIS, for less than 1% of the budget, is acting in our own best interest.

Help people see how white people or their tribe is being hurt. They point out one tiny piece of this obscure grant. They're trying to cut nursing homes. Transportation. It's endless, you're about to see what happens with a really terrible run government.

Throwing up your hands won't do. This is the worst moment in American history in many people's lives. The future is unwritten, we can maybe make this not be so bad.

In other news:
